Delta Air Lines Returns to SBA With Service to Salt Lake City and Atlanta
Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) is proud to announce the return of Delta Air Lines! Starting June 7, 2024, Delta will provide daily nonstop services to Atlanta (ATL) once a day and Salt Lake City (SLC) twice a day. An A220-300 will serve these routes, with a capacity of 130 passengers with 12 First Class seats, 30 Delta Comfort+ seats, and 88 Main Cabin seats. Advance booking is available starting Saturday, September 16, 2023 on www.Delta.com.
Delta previously served SBA with daily direct service to SLC from August 2019 to July 2020. Since the unforeseen end of service due to the complications brought by the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Santa Barbara community has requested the return of SLC service by Delta above all others.
“We warmly welcome Delta Air Lines back to Santa Barbara, and we are honored by their incredible commitment to our community,” says Airport Director, Chris Hastert. “This two-hub announcement demonstrates their desire to serve the needs of all travelers to/from this area with the highest level of service and connections available.”
"By reopening service to Santa Barbara and delivering more ways to access sought-after destinations throughout the U.S. West, we’re more ready than ever to take our customers on their next great adventures – with the service, reliability and convenience they’ve come to know and expect when flying Delta," said Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President – Network Planning, Delta Air Lines.

“We are looking forward to our hotels, restaurants, and attractions benefitting from business brought by these new flights,” continued Janega-Dykes. “The new routes allow for better connectivity through popular hub airports and provide improved access to visitor markets in the Southeast. For Santa Barbara residents, it will be more convenient than ever before for family and friends visiting from these regions, and to take trips themselves. Visit Santa Barbara really appreciates the hard work of Chris Hastert, Airport Director of SBA, along with his team, in helping to add nonstop flights to Atlanta and Salt Lake City.”
