Permits & Event Applications

Airport Film Permits are issued to professional and student photographers wishing to film on Airport property for commercial, non-profit or educational purposes.

Prior to commencing with any commercial photography within Airport Property, a film permit must be completed. To inquire, please email AirportPermits@santabarbaraca.gov.

Any commercial or non-commercial aeronautical activity must receive an approved operating permit prior to conducting the activity on Airport property. Aeronautical activities on Airport property, including independent operators without a fixed place of business, requires a City of Santa Barbara business license (exception non-commercial activities such as a Flying Club), applicable insurance coverages identified by the type of activity, certifications/licenses/and or letters of authorizations, and an annual airport permit fee.
