Request for Assistance

If you need special aids, services, or staff assistance in order to gain access to, comment at, or participate in an Airport facility, meeting, program, service, or activity, please contact the ADA liaison:

The Santa Barbara Airport is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities are able to take part in and benefit from the whole range of public programs, services, and activities offered by the Airport. The Airport continues to improve its facilities, programs, policies, and practices, as necessary, to ensure such access is provided.

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the Santa Barbara Airport will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

Sunflower Program

SBA is proud to be one of 200 airports that offer the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program to aid passengers with non-visible disabilities. To learn more, visit the Sunflower Program page. 

ADA Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available in both the Short and Long Term Parking Lots. Please note: even if a parking lot is labeled "Lot Full," there may still be accessible parking spaces available. Travelers utilizing the accessible parking spaces are welcome to proceed into the lot.

Traveling with Animals

Animals are prohibited at SBA unless the animal is a certified service animal or the animal has been registered through an airline for air travel. Please check directly with the Airline for specific requirements.  

All animals must be leashed or contained in proper transport housing at all times while on any part of Airport property.

An outdoor pet relief area can be found outside the north entrance of the Terminal. If looking at the front of the Terminal, it can be found on the right-hand side toward the Historic Terminal. Waste bags are available.

Please note there is no pet relief area inside the terminal, including past the security check point. 

Screening Assistance from TSA

TSA Cares is a helpline that provides travelers with disabilities, medical conditions and other special circumstances additional assistance during the security screening process.
