Applicants must contact their company’s Signatory Authority to begin the badge application process and obtain a signed Access Media Application. 

The Santa Barbara Airport Badging Office is located inside the Administration Building at 601 Firestone Road. To schedule an appointment, please call (805) 681-6385.

Requirements

For new badges and renewals, please bring the following:

  • Completed Access Media Application signed by your company’s Signatory Authority 
  • Two (2) forms of approved government-issued identification (see acceptable identification documents) 
  • $25 fee for AOA badges (cash or check only) 
  • $40 fee for SIDA badges requiring fingerprinting (cash or check only) 
  • Current/old badge (for renewals only) 

A Driving Rights Application is required only if the applicant’s sponsor is requesting authorization for the applicant to operate a vehicle within restricted airport areas covered by the badge.
