Construction Begins on New Terminal Crosswalk

Starting February 24, Santa Barbara Airport begins work on the Terminal Crosswalk Project.
This project will create an ADA-accessible pathway from the Terminal to the MTD bus stop across Moffett Place. The finished product will include the addition of a crosswalk, safety island, and flashing pedestrian crossing signs. Drivers can expect one lane to be open at all times, but please be prepared for potential traffic and delays. MTD bus service is planned to operate as normal. SBA is also currently in the final phase of the Southfield Redevelopment Project. This work is putting finishing touches on the SBA rental car lot which was renovated in 2024. Impact to rental car operations is expected to be minimal. For more info, visit the Southfield Redevelopment page.
Construction is expected to be concluded by March 7.
