Santa Barbara Airport's commercial and industrial properties, as well as its aviation-related activities, are managed by both the Business Division and the Property Management Division. Their primary objective is to achieve the Airport’s economic self-sufficiency by maximizing the utilization and occupancy of its facilities. These divisions ensure compliance with property leases for both the Airport and its surrounding airport-owned properties, oversee the department’s accounting and financial functions, and administer the management contract for the public parking facilities at the Airline Terminal.

Airport T-Hangars

The City of Santa Barbara owns and operates 24 T-Hangars for general aviation aircraft at Santa Barbara Airport. These hangars, when available, are offered to qualified aircraft owners on a month-to-month license basis, as outlined in the T-Hangar Rules and Regulations.

As of November 18th, 2025, there are 13 applicants on the T-Hangar waitlist, with the earliest application submitted in March 2023.
